As a parent/guardian, other family member or adviser, you will influence any potential apprentice. The Barking and Dagenham apprenticeship scheme enables apprentices to learn in a way that’s works for them and train in the skills that employers actually want.
Apprenticeships are designed by employers for employers, and therefore tailored to meet the needs of each specific sector. As employees, apprentices work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off-the-job training usually on a day release basis takes place with a local training provider such as a college.
